Companion guide to ICLT 327: Literature of Initiation.

FINDING BOOKS & EBOOKS

To search NYIT's collection of books and ebooks, use BearCat. These are books and ebooks will be available to you at NYIT's physical library locations or via NYIT's online library. To locate books and ebooks available at other institutions, use WorldCat. If you locate an item in WorldCat that is unavailable at NYIT, use the Interlibrary Loan links below.

Interlibrary Loan

Can't find what you're looking for? Request books and articles through Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is available to all current students, staff, and faculty at NYIT. To avoid delays, always check the Library Catalog to see if we own the item prior to submitting ILL requests. For more information, call any NYIT Campus Library.

Using WorldCat

Step 1. Access Worldcat.org and enter your search terms in the search field.

Step 2. Narrow down your search using the sidebar filters (red box). Once you have narrowed down your search, click on the title of an item to view more information about the item (blue box).

Step 3. Review the FIND A COPY IN A LIBRARY box. Make sure your campus zip code is correctly entered into the location box. Listed below the zip code box will be nearby libraries which hold a copy of the book. If NYIT is not listed, you will have to request the item through Interlibrary loan.
