Science.gov

Science.gov provides access to over 55 databases and more than 2,100 selected websites from 13 federal agencies.  Over 200 million pages of authorative government science information is available to users. 

The homepage features science news, a database search engine and broad subject areas for browsing, which are further divided into narrower subject areas.  Among the topics of interest related to computer science and engineering are:

National Technical Information Service

This agency falls under the U.S. Dept. of Commerce.  NTIS indexes and abstracts over 3 million publications covering over 350 subject areas. 

It is the largest central source for U. S. government-funded science, technical, engineering and business-related information.  By law, NTIS is required to sell its publications to recover some of the research costs associated with this research.

Nearly 40 subject catagories are listed on the NTIS homepage for easy browsing.  There is also a database provided for more specific searching.
