Navigating the Stacks @ The Library: Home

Whether you're trying to locate a specific book or just want to browse, this guide will help you find the resources you need.

Welcome!

Welcome! Just looking to browse? No problem! The book stacks are arranged according to the Library of Congress Classification System. This means that every call letter (for example, G) and its subclasses (for example, GA) correspond to a specific subject. Use the LCC Cheat Sheet and the alphabetical tabs above to identify topics and subtopic you'd like to browse. Happy searching!

How to Read LCC Call Numbers

This short video, produced by the Yavapai College Libraries, will show you how to locate a book on the shelf using the LC call number.
