Working on an economics project? You've come to the right place! The Economics Resource Guide contains pre-set searches for books, ebooks, and articles on economics topics as well as recommended databases, journals, and Web Resources.

DATABASES

Try these searches!

Not sure where to begin? Don't worry! The following pages contain pre-set searches.

Simplify Your Search

Want to simplify your search? Use Boolean operators; these terms -- AND, OR, and NOT -- will help you to narrow or broaden a search. Here's how they work:

AND narrows searches by combining terms.

ex. economics AND labor

OR broadens searches by finding either of the terms between which it appears.

ex. development OR growth

NOT narrows searches by excluding the term after which it appears.

ex. macroeconomics NOT microeconomics

For complex searches, use parentheses:

INCORRECT: growth OR development AND agriculture OR farming NOT corn

CORRECT: (growth OR development) AND (agriculture OR farming) NOT corn
