Session #2: Better Customer Service in Higher Education

Delivered by Christine Parker, Administrative Assistant in Career Services
(NYIT alumna in Hospitality Management, with years of hospitality experience prior to her transition to higher education)

In today’s world of endless options, consumers have higher expectations of customer services than ever before.  This is surely something frequently discussed in the hospitality and retail industries, but perhaps less frequently in higher education.  For NYIT professionals working with students in advisement, student affairs and enrollment services, we should be keeping students’ service expectations in mind and strive to exceed them.  We have the knowledge and experience to serve students’ needs; let’s work together to enhance their overall experience here at NYIT.   We can stand out as an institution whose staff consistently demonstrates a commitment to helping students through our processes.

Date: Friday, March 17th
