Spring 2021 Library Updates

Building Access and Hours for Spring 2021

Beginning March 1, 2021, campus library locations will be open on a limited basis. View our branch libraries below. Need additional assistance? Visit

Wisser Library

The hours for Wisser Library starting March 1 are: 

  • Monday- Thursday:
    • 8am-7pm: open
    • 7pm-8pm: virtual
  • Friday: 8am-5pm: open
  • Saturday: 12-5pm: virtual

Available Spaces:

  • Lower Level: limited seating available.
  • 1st Floor: limited seating available.
  • 2nd Floor: Currently unavailable to all, except for the School of Health Professions classes.

Manhattan Library

The hours for Manhattan Library starting March 1st are:

  • Monday- Thursday:
    • 9am-5pm: open, 2nd and 3rd floors (staff available)
    • 8am-5pm: virtual
    • 5pm-8pm: 3rd floor open (not staffed, just study space, room reservation required)
  • Friday:
  • Saturday: 12-5pm: virtual 

Available Spaces:

  • 1st Floor: currently unavailable.
  • 2nd Floor: limited seating and services available; desktops, study tables/carrels.
  • 3rd Floor: study space and classrooms.

Art & Architecture Library

The hours for Art & Architecture Library starting March 1 are:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8am-8pm: virtual
  • Tuesday
    • 8am-10am: virtual
    • 10am-6pm: open
    • 6pm-8pm: virtual
  • Friday
    • 8am-10am: virtual
    • 10am-6pm: open

Medical Library

  • Open 8am - 6pm Monday – Friday.
  • Other than seat reservations, no other seating available in the library.
  • Check out and returns of books available.
  • Book drop located outside of library.

Space Restrictions

Onsite services and spaces are restricted to current NYIT students, faculty, and staff. General public access will not be permitted.
