Do you need an article or a book that's not in NYITCOM Library collection? Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and we will request the item you want from one of our lending partners. Interlibrary Loan is a free service available for current New York Tech students, faculty, and staff. The ILL service hours are 9:00am - 9:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The fastest approach is to send your request to the library mailbox of your campus either by LI medical library or AR. Include the citation information of the literature to the best of your ability.

Other options, fill out the ILL form and submit your request.

How long will it take to get the articles I requested via Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?

  • Electronically delivered articles are usually available either the same day or within 2-3 business days.

Can I request an e-book through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?

  • No. Unfortunately publisher agreements do not allow libraries to loan e-books. You may check the library online catalog to obtain a physical copy of the book title you need.

Can I request to borrow a textbook from other libraries?

  • We don't borrow textbooks from other libraries, because of the fact that many institutions supply certain copies of textbooks for their users.
