Q1. How do I access online NYIT Library journal and reference databases?
A1. On the Library HOME PAGE, click the ARTICLES tab; then, click the ALL DATABASES link that appears in blue a bit below the "Select your subject" dropdown. Alternatively, click HERE.
Q2. Can I access NYIT Library databases remotely (from home or office)?
A2. Yes. In most cases, you'll be asked to LOG IN using your myNYIT Portal/E-mail username & password. From ON CAMPUS, login is NOT requred.
Q3. Where can I get help in WRITING my science research paper?
A3. Consider contacting and visiting the NYIT Writing Center.
Q4. Where can I get help FORMATTING my research paper using APA (or MLA) style?
A4. There's much help available ONLINE. Try KnightCite. Or try Citation Machine. For comprehensive in-depth discussion and clear examples of APA, MLA and Chicago/Turabian formatting, an excellent source is Purdue's OWL (Online Writing Lab).
Q5. How do I find BOOKS (print and/or electronic) in the NYIT Library?
A5. Use ONLINE CATALOG, the NYIT Library's online materials catalog.
Q6. How do I configure my laptop to use the NYIT wireless network in the Library?
A6. Find information about NYIT's wireless network, including instructions on how to configure YOUR laptop for wireless connectivity (depending on YOUR operating system) can be found here and/or here.
