Medical information is constantly evolving, and health mis/disinformation is rampant online. It is important to critically evaluate any information you find. One tool you can use is the CRAAP test.
When was the information created or published?
Is it regularly updated?
Does the information relate to your topic or answer your question?
Is the information written appropriately for the intended audience or level?
Who is the author of the information, and do they have the credentials to provide this information?
What is the website domain (.gov, .edu, etc.)?
Does the author provide adequate evidence to support claims, with proper citations?
Has the information been reviewed, and can it be verified in another source?
Why was the information written, and is it complete?
Are there any clear biases or points of view?
