This is a guide on how to search PubMed, the world's largest database of references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics.

Access MyNCBI

The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) of the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) provides the My NCBI tool. My NCBI is a personal user account for PubMed and other NCBI databases. Logging in allows you to create and save customized filters, customize results displays, and save searches for regular alerts by email.

How to login to My NCBI?

  1. From PubMed homepage, click on Log in 
  2. Click on Google account
  3. Login with your Gmail account
  4. NCBI confirms and directs you to PubMed homepage, with displaying your username on the page.
