You must create a Free Access Profile first.
Your Access profile works and syncs with the following McGraw Hill databases: AccessMedicine, AccessEmergency Medicine, and Case Files Collection. Use the same credentials across all of these databases.
1. Visit the NYITCOM Library website, https://nyit.edu/library/medicine.
2. Click the blue Databases button.
3. Select AccessEmergency Medicine. You will be prompted to log in with your NYIT Credentials if off campus.
4. Click on My Profile in the upper right-hand corner.
5. Select Sign In or Create a Free Access Profile, then click the Create a Free Access Profile button.
6. Complete the form that appears to create an account. Use your NYIT email.
Now that you've created an account, you can start acquiring and claiming CME.
1. Make sure that your account name appears next to the institutional affiliation at the top of the page. You must be logged in to earn CME/MOC credit.
2. You can earn CME by reviewing select titles. Click Books and then select CME Eligible at the top of the page to filter.
3. Select a title and then chapter relevant to your clinical question. After reviewing the chapter for at least 15 seconds, a CME icon appears at the top of the page.
4. Click the CME icon to assign this title review to an new or existing clinical inquiry.
5. Click your username at the top of page and select My CME from the drop-down options.
6. Click the Earn CME Credit button on the Eligible Credits page.
7. Complete the questionnaire that appears regarding clinical goals and application. Hit Save and Continue.
8. Click the Claim these CME Credits Now button. You can claim credits later. Make sure you set up your account to receive alerts when CME credits expire by submitting that option at the bottom of the page.
9. You can now view/print your certificate. All earned credits appear under the Earned Credits tab.
CME credits are available to redeem for up to one year from completion of activity.
