You must create an account first.
1. Visit the NYITCOM Library website, https://nyit.edu/library/medicine.
2. Click the blue Databases button.
3. Select UpToDate. You will be prompted to log in with your NYIT credentials if off campus.
4. Click the orange Register tab in the upper right-hand corner.
5. Complete the form that appears and the verification process to create an account. Use your NYIT email.
Now that you've created an account, you can start acquiring and claiming CME/MOC.
1. Make sure that your account name appears at the top of the page. You must be logged in to earn CME/MOC credit.
2. Submit a clinical search.
3. Review relevant material(s) and then click the encircled checkmark at the top of the page to claim CME credit for the clinical query.
4. Provide information on your search goals and application and hit Save.
5. Select CME in the upper right-hand corner next to your username.
6. Click Select Credits and then select your clinical query(-ies) on the following page. Hit Continue. You may be prompted to provide your search goals and application if not provided earlier.
7. You will be asked to complete an UpToDate evaluation to complete the process.
CME credits are available to redeem for up to two years from completion of activity.
1. You must add a board to submit MOC credits. Select CME in the upper right-hand corner next to your username.
2. Select MOC Home.
3. Select Add Board.
4. Select from the list of eligible boards. You can manage these affiliations later.
5. Enter your board ID number.
6. When you submit CME, UpToDate should also submit to the chosen boards.
