Writing Center in Education Hall Library (April 24, 2018, 2:30 PM).
Students improve final projects and papers with the Writing Center. Professor Amanda Golden, from the Writing Center will be available to meet with students in the Art & Architecture Library Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Students meet with Amanda up to 30 minutes each to for writing advice and assistance, review a draft, grammar, and citations. Students can make appointments but are welcome to visit any time.
The Art & Architecture Library continually acquires resources supporting the students and faculty of the Architecture, Interior Design, and Urban Design programs.
Kanopy Video Streaming - High quality films and documentaries. Easily link to films for assignments and class screening.
Statistical Abstracts of the United States – Includes reports through raw data. Useful for site analysis and concept development.
Today's Science Science News written especially for students, covers relevant topics such as Robotics, and Materials Science.
ArtStor continues to enhance collections and viewing tools for the extensive online collection of images. Architecture, City Planning, and Interior Design provide examples from prehistoric to current examples across styles and typologies. Virtual Reality Panoramas, and Side by Side viewing are available to enhance lectures and assignments.
New Technology: Students and Faculty may now borrow adapters from the circulation desk.
Lending Technology are available to borrow at all NYIT libraries.
Course Guides: Course guides support information literacy instruction and access to library resources. These companion web pages support the course syllabus by directing students to quality readings, web based tools and research principles. Librarians work with you to update guides throughout the semester and connect virtually with students for continual research exchanges. Examples from Spring 2018 include, Arch 481 Professional Practice, Arch 222 Building Construction, and Arch 162 Architectural History Survey
